Saffron Latte

A Saffron Latte is a delicious and aromatic variation of the classic latte, where saffron is infused into the drink, adding a rich flavor and vibrant golden color. It’s a blend of espresso (or strong coffee), steamed milk, and saffron, offering a luxurious and exotic twist to your regular coffee or latte.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon saffron threads
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup milk (preferably full-fat milk)
  • 1 shot of espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 1 teaspoon hot water (for steeping the saffron)

Instructions:

  1. Steep the Saffron: Place the saffron threads in a teaspoon of hot water and let them steep for about 5-10 minutes. This will release the rich color and aroma of the saffron.

  2. Brew the Coffee: Brew a shot of espresso or make strong coffee using a coffee maker or French press.

  4. Combine the Ingredients:

    • In a mug, add the brewed espresso or coffee.
    • Pour the hot milk into the mug.
    • Add the saffron infusion (with the water) to the milk and coffee mixture. Stir well.
    • If desired, add sugar or sweetener to taste.
  5. Serve: Stir everything together and enjoy your rich and aromatic saffron latte. Optionally, you can garnish with a pinch of saffron or cinnamon on top.
